Crispy Wafers (Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate) ~ @DailyGoodieBox #FreeSamples @littlesecretsco

I will start this post out by saying I LOVE peanut butter & chocolate together. One of my favorite guilty pleasures. When I opened my Daily Goodie Box and saw a sample of Little Secrets Crispy Wafers (Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate), I was ridiculously excited to try this new product.

After my first bite, I was in love with the dark chocolate. I did get a faint taste of peanut butter and I enjoyed the crunchy wafer. I would have liked a little more peanut butter, but I loved this snack. When I need a chocolate fix, this would be perfect! Just wish I had more. I would be very interested to try any of the other items they offer. YUM!

Pumpkin Spice Caramels ~ @DailyGoodieBox #FreeSamples @le_caramel

The Fall Season is quickly approaching and I am testing Pumpkin Spice Caramels in my Daily Goodie Box. I love caramels, but only certain kinds. I love pumpkin pie, but I don’t get in to the whole pumpkin spice craze.

So the first time I tried one, I was not a fan at all. I just tried another one (a few days later), in SMALL amounts and it can taste quite nice. I am going to send these to my sister-in-law, because she is definitely into pumpkin spice.

I looked at their website and would have really been into the Sea Salt Caramels. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

If you like pumpkin spice, then you must try these.

Raspberry Snaps ~ @DailyGoodieBox @s_flathau #FreeSamples

Any other cookie monsters out there? I sure am. Rarely do you see my turn down a cookie. This month, Daily Goodie Box sent a package of Flathau’s Fine Foods Raspberry Snaps . These are shortbread cookies with a raspberry flavored powdered sugar.

After tasting, I thought they were good but I didn’t get much raspberry. Which is fine with me. I am picky when it comes to raspberry. These cookies have just a hint of raspberry. My husband said, “Classic-ly flavored and not overpowering”.

The boys agree, that we will be happy to purchase Flathau’s Fine Foods Raspberry Snaps in the future.

Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies ~ @DailyGoodieBox #FreeSamples

When it comes to sweets, cookies can definitely be one of my weaknesses. Chocolate Chip is my favorite and has been since as long as I can remember.

Lately, I’ve been needing to adjust my diet and cut back on some of my sugar intake. So I have been very interested in trying new products that are better for me, instead of the same old brands (that helped get me in the situation I’m in).

This month, I was able to try Home Free Treats Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies from my Daily Goodie Box.

I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious these Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies taste! YUM! They taste way better than a national brand, that shall remain nameless. I could really see myself eating these on a regular basis.

These cookies are: Egg Free, Dairy Free, Peanut Free, Nut Free, Gluten Free, Rice Free, Whole Grain, non GMO

I browsed through the website and there are a few flavors I’d like to try. Big fan of these little cookies!

Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies #Recipe

Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter see notes below, room temperature
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
6 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 bag of Heath Toffee Bits

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2 baking sheets (or one large) with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.

In a medium bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together.

In another large bowl, beat together the butter, and sugars until smooth.

Add the egg and vanilla.

Gradually add the flour mixture and mix in until combined.

Add chocolate chips & toffee. Mix until combined.

Chill dough 30 minutes, if dough is warm.

Using a small or large scoop or heaping tablespoon, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets.

Bake the cookies, 1 sheet at a time, until the bottoms and edges are lightly browned and the tops feel firm when lightly touched,

Small cookies bake 8-10 minutes

Large cookies bake 10-13 minutes.

Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes 15 – 30 cookies depending on size.

@free2bfoods Dark Chocolate Sun Cups are delish! ~ @DailyGoodieBox #FreeSamples

To start this post, I must say that I am a ridiculous fan of the peanut butter cup. It would be hard for me to find anything that I like as much as a traditional peanut butter cup.

So with that being said, this month Daily Goodie Box included a sample of Free2b Dark Chocolate Sun Cups. I wasn’t sure what to expect.

After my first bite, I immediately was hit with the dark chocolate. I really enjoy dark chocolate. And I was surprised at how much I was enjoying the sun butter in the middle. It was quite tasty.

While that won’t replace my love for the traditional peanut butter cup, I do have to say that this will definitely satisfy a chocolate craving. It was quite delicious. I would definitely love to have another one right now.

After browsing their website, I see that there are two other flavors. A chocolate and a mint. I would be very interested in trying both!

This is my first time trying Rickaroons. I was hoping to have tried any flavor other than the mint, and that is what I received. I love coconut and I love mint, just not together.

I will say that my little guy loved this. He starting to get into mint chocolate and this really made his eyes get big with excitement. After my first taste, I wasn’t a big fan. After tasting the next day again, it did taste a little better. I would still love to try any of the other flavors.

When I saw that Daily Goodie Box was sending some chocolates, I knew I’d be in for a treat. But I didn’t know how much of a treat it would be.

Marich Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels are deliciously sinful. These little bites just melt in your mouth. Then you hit the salt and my taste buds go wild.

I absolute love Marich’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels. I wish I had a huge container of these. Now, I must see what else they make!

Double Chocolate Cookies (using cake mix) #Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Box Chocolate Cake Mix
1/2 c butter, melted (1 stick)
2 Eggs
Chocolate chips

Marshmallows (optional) *

Preheat Oven to 350

Mix all in a bowl, except if you’re using marshmallows. Add those right before you bake.

Scoop out 1-2 inch balls on a baking sheet (Lined with parchment). I use a scoop.

*Add marshmallows on top right before putting in the oven.

Bake 11-12 Minutes. Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

So chocolatey!

Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Bites ~ #Recipe #Dessert #GooeyButter

Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Bites

Ingredients:

Cake:
1 18.25-ounce box yellow cake mix
1 egg
1 stick butter, melted

Filling:
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 16-ounce box powdered sugar
1 stick butter, melted
Chocolate Chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.  Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. (I use butter or margarine to coat the sides and bottom of a glass pan, seems to taste better)

2. In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well.  Pat into the bottom of prepared pan and set aside.

3. Still using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and vanilla.  Dump in confectioners’ sugar and beat well.  Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in butter.  Mix well.

4. Pour filling onto cake mixture and spread evenly.

5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over filling.

6. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes (I usually pull it around 42 minutes).  Don’t be afraid to make a judgment call on the cooking time, because oven temperatures can vary.

7. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.  Cut into squares.

Or make into balls:

1. After it has cooled for at least 30 minutes. Scoop the entire cake into a large bowl. Mix until all combined.

2. Use a scoop and drop into powdered sugar. Roll around and coat all sides

3. Place on wax paper in a container with a lid. When done, put into fridge to harden.

4. Once hardened, sprinkle more powdered sugar on top.

5. Can keep in the fridge or pull out and leave at room temp for a softer bite.

Hint:

I usually make it the day before I want to eat it for a nice crunch and the gooey part settles nicely.
