Unboxing my @DailyGoodieBox of #FreeSamples ( Feb2022 )

Banana Wave ~ Banana Milk

Concept: I didn’t know banana milk existed, and I’ve only just started looking into oat milk. I am always looking for a healthier alternative. Banana Milk definitely peaked our interest. This was the first product my son reached for from this month’s Daily Goodie Box.

Taste: The first sip really let you know that this was banana. This thick, creamy milk was just ok for me, by itself. I like bananas but I guess not as a milk. If I ever try this again, I am going to mix up a smoothie with strawberries and the banana milk. I’m sure that would be delightful.

So for now, its a 3 out of 5. I may update this, if I ever try it with a smoothie.

Packaging: The box itself was cute and grabbed my attention. I like the “juice box” design, fits easily in the fridge and doesn’t take up much room. Kids already know how to get into it.

Genius Gourmet ~ Keto Snack Chips

Taste: The smell and the initial bite of the ranch keto chip was nice but after I started chewing, the chip became kind of gummy. It was not as tasty as the first bite. I didn’t find myself wanting to reach for more.

Packaging: Such a big bag for very few chips. I would reduce the size of the bag, doesn’t fit easily with other snack bags.

Neuro ~ Energy & Focus Mints

These little Neuro Focus mints were great! Love the sweet, cooling peppermint. I didn’t necessarily notice more focus or energy, but that wouldn’t prevent me from buying these in the future.

Packaging: I absolutely love the packaging of these mints. The tin is a great way to keep your mints in your purse or pocket.

Taste: This mint was bursting with peppermint. And not overpowering, like other brands. Big fan of the sweet, cool taste.

Chronic Pain POV: I have a problem with so products and their packaging, these days. Some can be so hard to open or slide open. This tin was very easy to open, slide with no effort.

Would I buy on my own? Yes, I would. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would!

North Coast Organic ~ Honeycrisp Applesauce

We enjoy applesauce from time to time. This sample of Honey Crisp applesauce was just ok for us. We aren’t sure if it’s the honeycrisp that tastes a little off to us, but we prefer the Organic Applesauce (see below for links to other products).

Packaging: Great packaging. Easy to store in the fridge. Also, has a cap to keep fresh.

Taste: Just ok for us. It seem to have the right amount of sweetness, just prefer a different apple in applesauce.

Chronic Pain POV: The package was easy for me to open, for my son. I probably should have let him open it, but there was no struggle.

Would I buy on my own? This flavor, no. But I would North Coast products.

Bambo Nature ~ Snuggle Time Lotion

While I don’t have a baby anymore, I do have skin that needs some lotion. I like that it doesn’t have a scent or dyes. Just gentle on my skin and keeping my hands moisturized.

Packaging: Cute colors. I like the pop up lid. The size was perfect, it wasn’t awkward to hold.

Feel: My skin was very soft and smooth. No greasy feeling, no scent.

Chronic Pain POV: This lotion would help baby your skin. My skin reactions to some lotions, it did not with this one.

Would I buy on my own? I might. It was nice and gentle. I just don’t have a baby. It would be for me.

Que Bella ~ Birch Leaf Face Mask

Like some other facial, skin care products I am unable to try this product. Currently, I have crazy rashes from wearing a mask. I do not with to irritate them any more than they already are. But when I receive facial masks like this, I always send them to my nieces, WHO LOVE THEM!

Dejia Harmony ~ Respiratory Detox

Packaging: Cute bottle. Taller and skinnier than most “shots” like this. I love the colors and that the bottle is clear, so you can see what the liquid looks like.

Smell & Taste: When I first opened it, it smelled a little like tomato soup. After tasting, it was nothing like tomato soup. Very strong elderberry taste, more medicinal than sweet. I have tried other Elderberry products and this one was definitely more bitter than the others.

Chronic Pain POV: Elderberry is great for supporting your immune system. The cap was easy to open and the seal was very easy to pull off.

Would I buy on my own? : Personally, I would not. I didn’t like the taste enough to continue. But I will see what my husband thinks.

Paleo Powder ~ Cauliflower Breading

Packaging: Visually, I love the colors and fonts. Now, when it comes to resealing this packing… it needs serious help. The bits of breading get stuck in the zip track and won’t seal. I even clean out the zip track and it still popped open. Right now, I have two mini binder clips holding it closed.

Taste: I tasted the breading, just by itself, and this really packs a lemony punch. I decided to try it with some tilapia. It coated very easily. Next time, I will cook it on a little lower heat, to prevent burning. But it was a nice breading to a tasty fish.

Chronic Pain POV: Great alternative for breading. Use in air fryer for an even healthier meal.

Would I buy on my own? I might. My husband really likes lemon pepper seasoning and with it being made from cauliflower, it’s even healthier!
