So ready for Spring! #Garden

Anyone else ready for Spring? I am so sick of winter and the chilly temperatures. Last week, we had about 9″ of snow last week and today, most of it has melted… but not all. But Spring is when I get to start my garden and my tan. I can’t wait until the last frost hits us, so I can get my garden going outside. I was getting a little too anxious, so I bought a couple of starter kits so I could start doing a little bit indoors. I have a grow light (new in the box) and haven’t opened it for two years. I may open it and start some growing in my den area.

Above are the two kits that purchased, with great deals, on Amazon. I read both of the instructions. and the Cocktail Garden Kit looked easier to get started. The bonsai trio has a bunch of instructions that take weeks to complete. I will start this soon, but not just yet. I needed a little garden project to help with my anxiety/stress level.

So I started my mental therapy with the Cocktail Garden. Soaked my seeds in water, overnight. And added them in the provided pots. I have them on a lazy tray, that is on a lazy susan, by the sliding glass doors. That way, I can spin it each time I walk by, to disperse the light.

Included in the Cocktail Garden Kit:  cucamelon, blue borage, lime basil, hyssop, lemon balm, & mint leaves

Last October, we had a small “crop” of cucamelons. (Click Here for posts) . We didn’t try them, because the vines looked a bit unhealthy, but aren’t they adorable?? They look like little watermelons, but are supposed to taste like cucumbers. I am looking forward to see how they do this year, when I start WAY earlier.

I also bought a couple of packages of some funky carrots. Whether they taste good or not, they will be so cute and can’t wait to take some pictures.

I snagged a couple of other deals for my gardening. The garden bed will probably be for the carrots and maybe spinach (previously purchased) :
