This past week has been a doozy. Today, I must relax and take it easy. My body feels like it’s on overload and barely functioning. I like to say that “I am running on fumes”.
So many factors play a part in how body feels from day to day. Heck, from hour to hour. Weather, stress, physical work, sleep… and when more than one factor is in play, it becomes quite challenging. This week was just that. Quite challenging.
The weather has been super hot and humid. Yesterday, it was 97 degrees but the heat index was 104. Just awful. Plus, there has been some rain. I am very achey when it rains. Factor one.
I haven’t been sleeping well at all this week. Tossing and turning. Restless. Night sweats. So there is factor number two.
We have been working on the house and backyard some this week and I was pushing myself way more than I should have. Factor three.
And finally add getting a visit from Aunt Flo… we have overload.
Here is what is hurting right this moment:
Four factors at once is just too much. I just can’t today. I am going to hang out in bed and hopefully watch a good movie with the family. We have storms coming this afternoon anyway. It will be a good day to just cuddle up with my boys.
After this week, I truly don’t know what I would do without my heating pad, foot & leg massager and hand massager. About three times a day, I will wrap my heating pad around my back. Pull my foot massager on to one foot and then slide my hand into the hand massager. When the cycle is done, switch to the other side. These three have been my saving grace this week and have helped me push through.
I really need some sort of massager that works on the back and neck. I get these huge knots in my back and it is hard to get those worked out, without the help of my husband. I need to be able to get relief whenever I need it.
