Fried Apples made with @OldOrchardJuice 100% Organic Apples Juice ~ #JuiceCrew #Recipe

When I saw that this month’s tasting box from Old Orchard was going to be Apple Juice, I wanted to do something different. I jumped onto Pinterest and was pinning recipes that would work with this juice.

The first recipe I wanted to try was a copy cat of Fried Apples. I am not a green apple person, which this recipe called for… so I bought and used red for this recipe. I would say, feel free to use what you prefer. It’s still delicious.

Add apples and 2 cups of Old Orchard 100% Organic Apple Juice to skillet.
Cook on medium. Simmer until apples are tender. Remove apples from juice and place in a serving dish.

Add remaining juice, sugar, spices and cornstarch to blender. Blend for a few seconds.
Add Blended mix to apple juice. Mix and simmer until the sauce thickens.

Pour mixture over apples and mix until apples are coated.

Fried Apples

4  apples, large (Sliced into Wedges)

3 tbsp Corn starch
4 tbsp Sugar

In a medium skillet, add the 2 cups apple juice and sliced apples.

Simmer until apples are tender – not mushy, turn frequently.

Remove apples from juice using a slotted spoon and place in an oven safe dish.

In blender, add the remaining 1/2 cup apple juice, cornstarch, apple pie spice and sugar.

Blend a few seconds until smooth.

Whisk mixture into hot apple juice in skillet and cook, stirring constantly on medium high heat until it bubbles and becomes thickened and smooth.

Pour thickened mixture over apples and serve.
