2 ozs semi-sweet good quality chocolate, broken into pieces
½ c unsalted butter, cut into pieces
4 whole eggs, lightly beaten
1½ c sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 dash salt
3 tbs light corn syrup (like Karo)
1 whole unbaked pie crust
1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a small saucepan over low heat.
2. In a bowl, add eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and corn syrup and mix until well blended.
3. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the sugar and eggs, whisking until blended.
4. Pour into the unbaked pie crust and bake for 30-40 minutes at 375 degrees.
*it will come out with a texture like pecan pie
**the Crust Recipe was not the best. I will try to find another recipe before attempting another pie.
